BF6 Battle Royale Goes Live Very Soon as a Free-to-Play Offering
Following quite some time of anticipation, the battle royale experience for Battlefield 6 is at last launching. Recent talk claiming its debut would happen alongside Season 1 were true. Gamers can dive into the action starting in just a day.
Season 1 Adding a New Map, Game Type, and Weapons
Together with the battle royale addition, the first season is also starting. It adds a new map, a new mode, and fresh guns. Additionally, the Redacted Sector is being introduced. An embedded preview will be released at go-live, giving fans a preview of what's to come.
Free-to-Play Structure Enables the Mode Open to All
Perhaps the key news is that this new experience will be free-to-play. Much like popular offerings, you do not need to own the main title to participate. A number of gamers have previously experienced alpha versions of the experience. Those tests were run in Battlefield Labs, which the studio described as their biggest community collaboration project.
The adrenaline rush while fighting another squad can't be found in any other last-man-standing mode. It's like life or death, and you really mind if you live or perish.
Despite being a critic earlier, I'm now a fan of the new mode since trying it.
These initial impressions from players have been overwhelmingly favorable. Of course, the mode may have changed over the last couple of months in terms of tuning and speed. Still, early signs are promising that this new mode could be a true alternative to established titles. Many are hoping that the best guns from the original Battlefield 6 will be available in the new mode.
