The Gruesome Animated Film Ending That Haunts Audiences

Out of all the mature animated films I have ever watched, nothing has lingered in my mind as much as the dread-soaked ending of a graphically gory as well as highly provocative film from 2022 Unicorn Wars.

In the year 2015, the Spanish writer-director created a grim, melancholy and frequently brutal universe with a few small , desolate hints of hope.

Although The Unicorn Wars feels like it stemmed from a desire to expand the medium even more, the director clarified that it was rather an effort to convey a global, multicultural theme about “the mutual source of each battle.”

That idea is expressed by means of a group of brightly hued teddy bears , openly based on a well-known series of cuddly figures.

Being raised in a culture focused on aggression as well as the defense industry, many of the bears are obsessed with exterminating the mythical beasts, because of a holy book that tells the bears they used to be masters of the forest, until the horned beings drove them out.

A few haven’t fully fallen for the brainwashing, , would rather try out substances and mate outdoors.

Unlike their friendly counterparts, these vivid animals display genitals , clear libidos.

For a certain especially vicious, skeptical animal, Bluey, the conflict against the unicorns transforms into a road to power — and especially to supremacy above his more tender, kinder brother the bear Tubby.

This bear acts as a tormentor , a seeming antisocial figure , and when horror takes over his unit and takes his teammates individually, he takes more and more power on his own behalf, in increasingly violent, harmful methods.

At the same time, these mythical beings are experiencing their own nightmare, through a spreading, destructive monster in their woods.

“In the early stages, it seems like a humorous movie,” the director stated. “However it becomes a more dramatic and sad film. And in the finale, it transforms into a horror film.”

Unicorn Wars begins resembling among the whimsical features from a legendary filmmaker, that discover a naughty glee in letting animated figures curse, fire weapons, or engage sexually.

Subsequently it becomes something more like a darker work by that same director, including ever more visual gore and a tangible link to the real suffering of battle.

Ultimately, it is an outright Grand Guignol massacre.

The fear which makes the film a perfect Halloween viewing begins well before than indicated.

The Unicorn Wars is one for the hardcore lovers of violence, for fans of extreme cinema who want to watch something they’ve never seen on-screen before, and can endure a narrative which delivers unflinching brutality.

View it in a dark room free from interruptions, and that ending will burrow into your mind and take up residence there.
